I spread myself raw before the scrutiny of your eyes My insides clench- yet still I pry wider for answers further in tears staining my wisdom with your casual fears... Timeless, these moments- I've gutted my grace treading soft eggshells 'neath weary foot space. I am withered sponge with the distaste for two still I rip within reason to justify dues... The minute silence spreads on deaf ear- I lash out in rage for I am. I am HERE. Starving on teardrops I've hand-fed to you, Shrinking on violets of a purloined view... never my own, I blend easily with palest of skin- Just lick on the crease Fold me up harshly like canvas in ruin, I'll give no resistance my thoughts are but won. Seal me with haste and address me: Appease Never fail to remind me that white paper can't bleed... Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

Excuse me, but I think you've contradicted your final premise...this white paper definitely bled your heart. A powerful write, some fantastic lines, I wish I could see them easily from here. One set has already been mentioned in an early response. The words are so extremely original that I can not begin to state them here, only continue to feel the feeling they stirred in me. I don't think I've read any of yours before. That is one drawback to so many poets in one place...so easy to miss something wondrously special. Glad I didn't miss this, Devina.
