Crowded years hallucinate Of a missioner’s secret Jogging through someone’s memory With tons of bright red sneakers Rounded years of winter’s sleep Sustaining arms of tribute Out of body handiwork Knits a mockery of snakeroot Cupping ethereal wings Spinning dreams to music Barking bitter loss of sheep Who count storms acute? Where hellish prisons dwell Leaving flesh along the way The blessed joys resell Names the sea of summer day Innocence cannot be returned Those with tearing laden rage Recompense arrears of warm desire More then short-lived time can wage To vow the days perspire And oft the times plead with folded hands To improve the trifling with airy forces Swelling floods of living olive expands Turning back to boldly rotting corpses We are surprised to see footprints Freeze in the sand Listen, eating and drinking Every chronicle beautiful Innocence is the hope of belief? Like moon skin caresses lovers In hot pools of shudders Stretching hot taffy of summer |
