Exploring vastness of character Skeletal man providing barren stares Of which choose to look elsewhere Stripped naked, skin’s blanket purchasing air fair I’ve wondered why shock waves fear nerves My third eye clawing for some far off awning Or when sea yellowed sponge grows dry Musty old performers ebbing To where will they depart? While mopping up blood Of their long gone deaths Will we find more? They’ve clipped our nails down to flesh Talisman lay flopping like a waterless fish Deafening noise spitting profanity through my screen For tokens thrown from another balcony In another theater, in another town Curtain call pawns unearthly shadows Wondering when the next slick will go down? Chocking on molded heart of their bread Remembering membranes of fiber, lodging close And calling sound what it is Where roads openly named Allotting total admission, to well known places Sitting at a round table of trusted knights Horse’s armor immortalized with frozen sighs Relaxing fists, peeling away hypnotizing shrieks of vultures The ones with frozen eyes, picking bones, one morsel at a time There is a rock chanting through our windows Traveling a nomadic road, reaching with laced mists Joining the viaducts of the world In tomorrows face of death Memory, like daylight, waxing escalating hours And those hours will burn alive The terms of their endearments Commercial images disappear like an abducted child Sharing our city with recovering addicts Common sense will long cry Get your own house in order! |

Common sense will long cry Get your own house in order! ~*~ It has to start there, doesn't it, before there can be anyone to say, "do it this way." Excellent, Lee. |

"There is a rock chanting through our windows Traveling a nomadic road, reaching with laced mists Joining the viaducts of the world In tomorrows face of death" Yeah! Now that is a story. Wonderful poetry Lee J. JL |
