And then visitors in rare albums
Count loose change and other plans
Where it begins and ends
Common pardon forgets while
Cadence grabs desolation by the neck

Apologies moving the set of
Shoes numb, filled with walking dead
Starting fires where lovers left
Tearing textiles to shreds
Glass eyes arrive transplanted

True essence from self would fly
To miracles in nights with no moon
Walking along the knower of streets
Bluer skies mingle with wannabe hours
Laying awake with flashlights erratic
Yet somehow comes a lonely swoop
Setting every blatant moment
Across cool night air

We miss the inheritance of coming events
Sitting alone holding hands with darkened shadows
Slowly garnishing a banquet table
Awakening from fearful concepts
Trinkets no longer tug at our sleeves
Remembering most, the faint voices

Age mortgages household acts
Voices sooth whatever the mind wants
Sleeping doubles revisit tomorrow’s promise
Playing late into an unhinging afternoon
Leaning and wobbling like drunks
Pounding on the door, of the Knights of Columbus

What I remember most, are the high points of mountains while
Whitewashing a old weathered barn
A young man whistles tunes of animations
Holding a wish in one hand, from an old school
from hometown

Like a pioneer in a canoe, with both legs over opposite sides
I Listen to an astounding terrain
Floating deeply into settling hills
Visiting some unworldly library

Wow, thanks for the journey.

and you speak to me in rhymes
My body aches to breathe your breath
Your words keep me alive

So many of the images from the previous poems of yours that I have read, have remained with me. You just added several more!

May this day be full of poetic fodder!

LeeJ, if your writing is at all a reflection of who you are, I'd love to sit on the seawall with you and just talk...or listen to you talk, or something.  You're a trip into depths I haven't visited since my early twenties when Edgar Cayce was the man, the universe resided inside my skull,"Ahmmmmm" was the word, "I Am" was all encompassing
"we" was an enigma, a trip into the farthest corners of thought and "Life" was the password of another dimension.

LeeJ, my friend, I dream with you.

Jimmy
