Feast for the Heart The extensions of souls in travel sway in salted frolic as if serving up a main course of desire ... seasoned to the touch of eyes upon heart Dining within boundaries set in widening curls ... I find myself visiting these crystals that lie silent between caramel surge and confectioners touch laced within tables of foam Watching ~ as they offer the dessert of explore to the taste buds of these eyes in a dizzying attempt to entice the appetite of my serenity into over-indulgence An open invitation to feast ... each breath of every hour ... as a new course is served fresh across the gaze of this day Tonight ~ I shall not dine ... alone Mark Christopher |

Here you go Mark, a can of whipping cream for you and one for me LOL, and you know I am NOT kidding right? Very lovely scene set with your words. Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing. |

"Tonight ~ I shall not dine ... alone" Well now, that's the most tempting smorgasbord I've seen in a long time. Beautifully rendered, Mark ... from the tempting delicacies offered so fluently, to the sweet prospect of sharing them in the ending. A wonderful read indeed, I really enjoyed this. Best wishes, /Kit |

The extensions of souls in travel sway in salted frolic ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dining within boundaries set in widening curls ... I find myself visiting these crystals that lie silent between caramel surge and confectioners touch laced within tables of foam ================================= Could those images and personifis be any cooler? And original! A clever twist of metaphor here--Ive seen the ocean described many ways...but you served up some lovely eye candy with this ... caramel surge and confectioners touch laced within tables of foam Anytime you set the table with an ocean view...you know Im gonna be there. and what a coincidence? I just happen to have pics. *lol* now tell me that aint the perfect pic to go with that verse. *TYFTPK&FTM* Poetry is emotion put into measure. The emotion comes by nature ... but the measure is acquired by art. Thomas Hardy |

bslicker - thank you sir. Gentle Spirit - As you know by now, I feel more comfortable in rhyme but once in awhile I do try something new as a test. Thank you. Kit - You may pop in as often as you like and especially when you are doubling the hugs. Just imagine the hug fest we would have if we double it every day for a year LOL. Thanks sweet lady. JM - Well my sweetest of friends, you know that candy whether it be for the eye, heart, soul, or lips is still candy and sweet indeed. Thank you for the kind words. suthern - Oh yes, hungering for much much more. Thank you for you wonderful words. TD - Much to think about in the journies of faith and many are the gifts once you find that path and endless .. Yes, most definitely. Thank you for the double back and I am glad you found it inspiring. Encore? hmmm we shall see what can be done. passing shadows - Thank you Sue - Hope you were able to feed all your senses well then. You know, I don't believe I've read free verse as delicious as this before. Every bite was a tantalising morsel. It's good to see your name in blue again. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
