I happened upon a clearing,
  in a forest by midnight sea.
And skulking in the shadows,
  was a demon entity.
My eyes at first saw nothing,
  but my nose knew of its presence,
For it curled upon my ashen face,
  from the stink of fetid essence.

Sounds I’d never known before,
  intensified my fright.
An icy flow coursed through my veins,
  as yowling pierced the night.
I stood transfixed in forest deep,
  afraid and all alone,
As a deathly chill invaded me,
  and soaked me to the bone.

A gasp escaped my quivering lips,
  as two glowing orbs I saw,
Glaring from the shadows dark,
  and rendering my senses raw.
My frightened heart beat furiously,
  for its freedom from my chest.
But neither my will, nor trembling hand,
  could still my heaving breast.

I knew that I stood at the gates,
  of the fiery bowels of hell.
I could not move, or even blink,
  for I was held in captive spell.
Gale force winds then pulled me down,
  to the molten core of Earth.
Moans and screams assailed my ears,
  as I sank to Satan’s turf.

My soul did boil and bubble,
  and infused with odious gases.
I lost myself in the netherworlds,
  among the evil masses.
As Satan vowed to make me his,
  I released a mortal scream.
But angels carried me up and away,
  and out of my hellfire dream.
