a wharf rat climbed through my window down the bedpost across my pillow he nibbled on my rosy cheeks with his teensy little needle teeth then he massaged my sleeping skin until his weensy claws sank in the wharf rat unzipped his hair revealing a pink suit under there and he showed off his polished halo he was a handsome, charming male, oh but me thinks he was a mama’s boy and I could see right through his ploy he said he would change the sheets on my bed tidy my kitchen, paint the town red he promised to help eat my groceries handwash my undies and hoseries he’d be as quiet as a mouse if I’d just let him live in my house but he was a wharf rat, after all hiding behind roses and climbing walls gnawing on my telephone lines broken headlights were his eyes when I swept him out my door and he hissed like a steamy radiator the wharf rat had to go, you see and so I swept him down the street cuz even though that rat was sweet I knew he’d chase my sister’s feet |
