Uncle James Was my favorite Uncle He was sweet and fun Even though after awhile We lost touch with each other I remember the best times And not the bad times I remember All the trips to Disney World And how one time I drove there with him And Micheal I remember When me and Micheal would sing In James ear Songs he didn't like Or didn't want to hear I remember When me and Jesse got locked out the house In the pouring rain And Uncle James took us in And let us spend the night Uncle James loved his cigars He would go to the magic market And buy them And puff away When mom and dad wanted to go off Uncle James would do stuff with us I remember the time he took us for pizza And we had a blast Uncle James you are loved And well tought of And will be missed But the memories will never die In Memory of James David Arnold May 16, 1955 - October 5, 2004 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I read this poem at my Uncle's funeral in front of family and friends. I am still a little down over the loss of my Uncle. But I shall do better soon. Cold hands means a warm heart |

Ah Julie, he was very young, and I am sorry for your loss. Your tribute is lovely, and I am sure your family was very appreciative of the words you brought together to say goodbye in such a loving way. [This message has been edited by Sunshine (10-31-2004 08:28 PM).] |

The poem you wrote and read at your uncles's funeral will be remembered by many.. and I am sure he was looking down at you and smiling too. I know it hurts Julie... just remember the good times...it will take awhile. Heart Hugs~ ~Autumn..the year's last, loveliest smile.~ |
