is arm's length
       is what we are

             mowed down the middle
like a ripped apart
    marriage from golden Nile times

us each
             the other's arm-horizon
with sunrisen faces
            with telescoped retinas
microscoping the
           longmissed skin
of ancient love

and your dream
                      and your dream come true
a half a yard away

           as the cosmic coming
                together

         creates white pickets
              from ribs

and the full ripe
           red fruit
                  of heart
    climbing up
from
       our clinging mad
             tomato spines

               it must be....

Love this! Fantabulous Brian

by my illicit exquisite dream

Came back for another read, loving it still.. and the imagery is just....sigh.

not sure if I sent this to my library in my first reply but it's certainly going there right now.

Only half?

Reminds me of a one-armed fisherman showing his cronies "how big" the one that got away was....

actually, I make light of a very good poem.

Bri,

have you read Saul Williams yet?
I think you guys share the same brain.

This blew me away, the ribs and the picket fence, everything entwined, nature and life.

You redefine beat, you know that?

I have missed you.
