For Mossy

As Far as the Eye Can See

Some slog through days ticking-off tasks.
It helps keep the mind occupied
while we build false accomplishments
and deny the susurration within.

We see it; it’s in the gleam of hard shells,
the blinding gloss of not knowing,
the way life becomes fog.

When we find our way through,
there lies that smiling part of us,
that silver circle of horizon
that is uniquely ours.

Mine is made of sea and sky,
it’s where I’m headed.

I can’t say what you’ll find,
but I do know with certainty,
strength lies thata way.

strength lies thata way.

I imagine a person circling like a whirling dervish, with a hand outward, so that we know exactly where strength lies...

but I know you...

and I know it lies within...

The internal fog
so insidious
one stays aloft
but has no direction . . .

My first thought after reading the title was of Waylon Jennings song but upon reading this I just have to say that thataway is always the best way...lol.
Truly enjoyed this Corinne, perfect flow.

I loved every line Corinne, but these....

Mine is made of sea and sky,
it’s where I’m headed.
