Remembering yesterday in all it's shades Darkening hallways litter those thoughts Children crying in these nightly raids Their lives looking like empty lots Running with out a purpose Just trying to find that sunshine No one seems to care, because human lives they seem to think we have a surplus These lives seem to be worthless, unless they’re in a mine A war rampages on Civilian causalities just keep doubling up This continues to go on for what must seem like an eon We seem to not put up a fight, yet we would for a pup The world turns a blind eye to this Becoming a forgotten face Becoming something they wish to dismiss Their lives disappearing at a rapid pace Babies being born Struggling just to be free Not even one and already having to mourn Everyone else saying thank god it is not me No one seems to hear their voices calling Eyes that cripple the coldest of hearts Tears seem to keep falling For those who do not die, their price is body parts Their lives the epitome of pain They all seem to be walking down this lost highway A torture that drives them insane If they were a plane they would be screaming mayday For these poor souls even a cold carries a knife We must stop it all before humanity fades Giving them a chance to have a life Erasing the word AIDS Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. |
