Animal fingers far out-stretched
nightly call over adopted clutches
offered moth treats from under a hat
what fear unleased from cavern bats.

Tenacity at low guided flights
echos raised from cavern heights
associated with black caped swoops
Gotham City reporters covered scoops
the creature became one with hair
one would invite winged mice there?

Those fingers tapered into wings
supported nightly membrane guided swings
tied knots in straight hair masses
exposed heads raised landing chances.
