Like Pulling Teeth

I told my girlfriend
that I have an elephant
in my living room,
because I have a big
problem I need to solve
and I need a solution.
She knows about my problem.
The next day she came over
and we were sitting in the
living room and she ask me,
"Where's the elephant?"
She knows the problem,
she knows the solution,
but she won't offer to be
a part of the solution.
This is going to be hard.
Like pulling teeth.

Wheew! A lovely rebus! Maybe she is pondering how to cope with the elephant? Give her some time!
