Darkness sounds drip drip Straining drip Crystal Racked to drain. Dripppp Dried Deposit splotched, Water spots her stain. Should she have towel dried Leaving behind speckled lint? Steamed clean in washer, Sterilized in scalding rinse? Wine glass raised to vacant air, A drip dried refrain; Straining drip Crystal racked to drain. |

Thanks, Dixie. It's good to be back. I wish I could be on the internet more! I just haven't been able to get the pen moving lately--my ink must have drip dried! misc'e |

Oh yes....and the poem....that's what these replies are about, how silly of me! Darn good, of course.....you really bring it home here, at all levels. The subtexts within this are marvelously done! |

Love it miscellanea. I got a truck...we can pile those glass in the back...drive through the car wash...and then do 80 up the interstate. How about Ford powered dry? LOL! Great poem my friend. |

GG, Things are going great, but I'm pretty busy after going back to work. The piece was not about me, however, a sink full of dishes did inspire it! It is about a lady in the community, who on the exterior seems carefree, but one who drinks in silence... Thanks for your thoughtful comments. ~misc'e Ah, James, you say the sweetest thangs! I, too, have missed you and all the other poetesses and poets here! Things are just too busy around here to be online as I'd like! I just barely have my head above water! Gurgle, gurgle! Thanks for your kindness. ~misc'e Lee, Thanks for your kind response and the warm welcome home. It is nice to be back! ~misc'e nakdthoughts, Wink! "smiling at how you seem to find the simplest objects and activities to write about so well..." (It's only because those are the only things I understand well enough to write about! It's easier for me to write through metaphors or the personification of objects than to share what's in me--objects are easier to understand than oneself.) I admire the way you can discern your feelings and write about them. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. ~misc'e Susan, Thanks for your sweet response. I think your pen drips very nicely, too! ~misc'e EV2, "I got a truck...we can pile those glass in the back...drive through the car wash...and then do 80 up the interstate. How about Ford powered dry? LOL! Great poem my friend." Too funny, EV2! Ford powered? That'll do! Thanks for humoring me, my friend. ~misc'e |

It is so good to see your work. *S* You're one of the poets that truly delight me... with your ability to see poetry in everyday things... this is great! |

Thank you all so much for responding to my poem. It's a little, or perhaps I should admit "a lot" too dark for me, but it fell to paper just the same. I appreciate your acceptance of it and kind comments. |
