Always Misses The Target Cupid must be cross-eyed He is always missing me Tries aiming at my heart Then hits the nearest tree Cupid sure needs practice I clearly have that proof Last year he flew over Firing arrows on my roof I'm convinced he can't see He was as blind as a bat Watched him one year He even aimed at the cat Been watching him yearly He flies straight past me Eyesight is his problem This little guy cannot see He takes aim and misses Seemed to lose his way He never finds the target All his arrows went astray They say that love is blind Cupid brings proof of that I hope his sight improves Or I shall be hiding my cat Hope©2005 |
