Formless in the ether of mind’s nether land
float the many inklings of thoughts and ideas
and a picture perfect dream seemingly of me
after the cleansing and purifying process.

Shadowed imperfections no longer meant to be
bear liquid testimony to final banishment
and water from a trickle becomes a downpour …
but it’s only the heat that I cannot bear.

Hands reach to touch, mix liquid into matter,
mould a new lifestyle from elemental ideas,
and place on the table the truth according to …
but it’s only the dough of my raisin muffins.

The free flow of thought in time solidifies,
stretches to full extent the boundaries of mind,
and leaves me holding traces of enlightenment …
but it’s only my waistline doomed to elastic bands.

Every day in every way; how trite it is to say
yet from the everyday I’m making contact with
all the ingredients for the growing of a soul
beyond the limitations of the world I know.

They say I’m a dreamer and sing a long song
but he who cannot dream stays sunken in the “me”
and he who cannot sing voices inanities …
but it’s only an opinion like a cherry on the top
eaten or discarded depending on taste buds!

Thanks for the read, Op4me. I suppose the wonder of it all is that we all grow in our own way. I just wish mine would confine itself to the brain and leave my heart and waistline out of the picture!
