As far as the sand blows and the life, deserts know, there those that sail dune crests their ways mark old caravan trails. The wind that causes dunes to grow encourages me to go at life slow like the inexorable shift of cove sands it all lies in what the winds command... The creatures, they should adapt to shifts or be washed ashore as dead wood drifts; worms will continue to seek secret spice inhabit a planet where greed isn't nice... Those worms roamed beneath desert floors and raced to catch a spice at open doors. It was a mark of manhood to ride these creatures other worlds would appreciate desert life features.. all in and out of existence with shifted dunes I can recollect what thrived before the ruins. "like the inexorable shift of cove sands it all lies in what the winds command..." Cool line, Martin. I remember that movie. After seeing it, I was hesitant to venture out onto the dunes, but only for a moment or two. You've reminded me of something I began writing about the Oregon sand dunes, one of which is threatening to swallow up a huge supermarket. LOL. Perhaps, it's time to finish that piece. |

From Guinness World Records quote: Your poem is a tribute to how easily things can get lost over time. Thank you, Sir. |

I suppose the poem deserved a final tune-up in the last stanza...inspiration began with Hebert's land described in Dune...but it goes deeper to what dunes conceal... |
