Of Bed Warmers

The bed warmer of my minds lush
Slides between the sheets sublime
Shaking phantoms to spirits brush
That warms the granules of time

They dance within the fires shed
And spread the heat of old admire
To heat the lacing of the bed
From sparks to flames of sheer desire

But in the wicker basket sewn
Lies a dome where echoes bounce
Misting each with flowers strewn
That adds onto the echoes ounce

And changes in the flight from home
That warps in time from egos core
Into a midnight shadow foam
To change the meaning of the store

True the bed warmer warms the bed
But with subtle changes in wed
