I Had No Need To Apologise

Please say what you mean
Then mean what you say
Don't come with excuses
Then go off and hide away

Stop giving me false hopes
Then disappear from view
I heard all you're promises
Yet none of them came true

You became so predictable
It's the same old scenario
There's always an apology
Everytime you come and go

Maybe the truth is disguised
Hidden behind the apology
Weeks not a word from you
After expressing your loyalty

Wrote to you like it mattered
With each loving sentiment
I had no need to apologise
Because every word I meant
