You
of the warmth
now at a price,
you
of the memory
and brittle advice,
I never expect more
than I ask of myself,
yet I asked of myself
why do I know you,
was there ever a choice?

It is Life which needs us,
not the other way ‘round,
it thrives on cooperation,
the silent touch
and boundless joy
of recognition
in the moment
of awareness.

If I had to answer the question, I'd have to say "Yes, but..." because I have never known that feeling to be wrong. There is invariably a connection.
