memory’s monsters

my soul privately crying

dreams uninvited

bitterness escapes

through shabby windows of sleep

Earth wobbles moaning

dull gray storm morning

passions quietly dying

Life needs our choices

Your soul dreams uninvited, I love that, the soul knows the truth and it can't be silenced by bitterness.

It is every goddam day -- some days we just manage to numb ourselves to it. That's how it is for me, anyway. I hope you do get freedom from it now and then -- if so, I envy you.

icebox - I understand this so well. It's so easy for us to forgive others so why is it so hard to forgive ourselves? That is the road to peace and I wish that for you.
