No stone unturned was left to see or sense or find among the markers on that hill. A place to dwell and mourn, no word to mince for high above a raven flew at will. He flew the skies and settled on a limb He gave them cries beyond the chamber door. His beak was long with dark eyes looking grim in search a man who swore of nevermore. But as the day did bring to earth a close a knock was heard again beyond the pane. A tattling rap from one in darkened clothes who came to stay and tap, again...again. For of the bird of raven lore and fame few shall in glee whisper it’s chosen name.. |

Haunting - One of the most bizarre sights i've ever seen was when living on the mountain, one evening standing out upon the deck, a flock of black birds flew over - you could hear the whoosh of their wings - and they darkend the sky - could swear there were hundreds of them, they just kept coming - almost felt as if the Alfred Hitchcock movie were coming to life - I will never forget that sight - it was freaky - sorry to go off on a tangent, but your words brought that image vividly to mind Hugs - Susan If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |
