He watched her from across the room breathing in her beauty and grace, oh how he had longed to hold her and dreamed she could fill his empty space. He admired her from a distance and desired her heart to share, he wished that he could tell her just how much it was that he cared. He will never tell her these things he'll continue his journey all alone, within his shattered heart he feels she'd never want to be part of his home. So he turned off all emotion, and strolled away not turning to look back, he slowly walked out the door; the smile she wore faded from rosey lips, she thought that this would be the night... oh she was so very sure. Silent love is such a tragedy when two hearts aren't made aware, that the hidden desire of each is the same as that of the other, wanting to share. If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream... {revised 1-28-05, reposted for broken hearts and lost loves of men and women everywhere...} Love has it's own time, it's own season, and it's own reasons for coming and going. You cannot bribe it or coerce it or reason it into staying. If it chooses to leave, from your heart or the heart of a lover, there is nothing you can do and nothing you should do. Be glad that it came to live for a moment in your life. If you keep your heart open, it will surely come again. From Simple Truths Author Kent Nerburn |

tis better to speak and know than to wish and long, for a path never taken will never be known for its travel - it could lead to heaven beautifully done Susan If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |

Wow, very clear description of stifled admiration and desire. Suffering in muted tones. Sigh. Liked the psalm afterward as well. Poets against the war is redundant |

Love is a gift and immense blessing... but it's also a risk... a hope the one we share our heart with will respond to what we are. To never take that risk, to never know such blessing... a tragedy, indeed. *S* Lovely write, my friend! |

It's writes like this, from such a sweet heart, that break this tragic cycle. Tell on...tell on. TD |
