Ultimate Hallucinations Unflinching, the landscaper seer Christens mind dancers... Nominating Amtrak with travel awards Sizzling the mind, with unforgettable voice Rustling cornstalks catching their breath Speeding through Harlequin Novels Promise, needs a voice hot & sticky…sometimes Like a secret eye wearing regal mystery An old woman grips “Scriptures” in her teeth Riding her bike to Bible School Along the runway shoulder Smelling Downy fresh.... The porch squeaks, unsure, cradling a phone A grey-haired man broods; he can’t get any work done While sprinkling magic water on tree roots Wondering aloud, about Rumi Bells ringing "separation" or'r the land I stare silently, as mint tea grows closer to the barn Feeling moments, growing faster and faster Singing a mantra, without being asked Just in case those dark moments look back Tiger lilies grow firmly on the hip of forgetful ears The day before summer school A child places a cross on kitchen counters Healing the blind… While a strange breeze rustles the corn You promoted me to the 140th floor Driving me directly to a different world I’ll never need another crop loan A sincere brow follows signs home That’s the sea, I’d like to drown in Hidden music of the fire Mystic light upon light, illuminated hallucinations Its time to work again, drinking in welcomes I so love your magic show And intimacy with nature |

"I stare silently, as mint tea grows closer to the barn Feeling moments, growing faster and faster Singing a mantra, without being asked Just in case those dark moments look back" This stanza makes the poem jump into a higher gear...raises it higher on the must read scale.. I am a landscaper, but don't consider myself a seer, the first line opened my eyes a bit. We are an odd bunch... Enjoyed this in its entirety... __________ice ><> |

I stare silently, as mint tea grows closer to the barn Feeling moments, growing faster and faster Singing a mantra, without being asked Just in case those dark moments look back Good thinking on the mantra and you rise me this morning from sleep to follow your twists and turns along the road you paint |
