Of Fat and Lean I’ve learned to play the middle scene And eat the same of fat and lean You cannot stare into the sun For blindness comes with overdone I smell the roses every day And taste the nectar in a way I stay within the in-between Within the meadows of the green I do not run I do not swerve I do not rule nor do I serve But teeter on a teeter board Whose edge is sharper than a sword? There is a river crystal clear That runs along the banks of fear That feeds into a source of peace And this is where I find surcease I find it in beginning things Each passing season brings a spring |

"There is a river crystal clear That runs along the banks of fear That feeds into a source of peace And this is where I find surcease I find it in beginning things Each passing season brings a spring" I liked this very much and I had to look up surcease LOL you'd have thought the 'cease' part of the word would have tipped me off...but it's early yet and I am still on the first cup of coffee |

yes, indeedy it does, and so do your words... Here in the east, we're getting snow, but upon reading your wide forehead...can't help but forgetting all about winter...thank you kindly for your morning brew...hugs |

Great life lessons from a respected elder. Enjoyed Sy. Poets against the war is redundant |

I do not run I do not swerve I do not rule nor do I serve But teeter on a teeter board Whose edge is sharper than a sword my thoughts exactly without even having read you before I posted mine~~ M |

Randy loves the teeter-totter... craving faster ... raving hotter. Walking the edge, crossing the line ... so I made him read your wisdom rhymes. He says hes done breaking the rules ... wants to be cool as you, this dragons no fool. *ww* ( we're going up near 60 today... me and Randy are headed for the creek.) Among the kingdom of the winds ... perhaps there is one of elegant mind, who has no need to intrude on the solitude of single things. CB |

Being in the middle has its advantages, my friend... those extremes can be risky places. *S* I enjoyed this! *S* |

I’ve learned to play the middle scene And eat the same of fat and lean You cannot stare into the sun For blindness comes with overdone Sure make me feel guilty about this snack in my hand why don't you? The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all art and science. |
