~ As You Were ~

An eagle in my mind
Whose wings left spray upon the dawn
Dew of pertinence spread to limitless altitudes
And all I ever could want in a man

Our differences were never indifferences
And lifted me to heights I would never attempt
In a fall deeper red and primitive than springs exempt
A deeper woman in the flesh

Raising my creative lights to heaven
Shining out a silhouette of femininity
That brought from dream to taste
As lips held bead just waiting to be heard

A whisper that taunts the echoed heart
In earnest breadth and tender wilderness
Exploring footfalls on the creek lines and silent snow
To see you soar my skies enfold my eyes in happiness
