City of Lights and Strangers If I had been the bold darer I would have dared you to love me anyway… But you decided against openness and blamed it all on: “Just the way women are”, as you sometimes say… Couldn’t you have forgotten all that? Living under that musky old hat? Maybe, trying another drummer’s fray? You know I can’t carry a tune, or remember verses I have only my word, what more is there, except the truth, or curses? My heart is high above the sea among sea birds, and the wind. Yet I was the willing not to hesitate capture and, you being the netter, caught me in your words, and, joyous laughter. Then you witnessed a gray cloud or two the height of soaring wind, and the solitude of the sea, and your conscientious gender enlightened you, to the city of your dreams. - Your city of lights, and strangers. Different visions can cause hurting decisions. You are better off soaring high ... I think this is a great piece of writing. Love, Margherita |

Fantastic poem JL~ The lights are merely shadows play. It is the power of our wings that take flight and keep us soaring. |
