Rain falls as if to say,
“I cry with you today”
and both of us together
confined within a prayer
rock to beats of memory
like the old and frail
with nothing else to do.

Back and forth, time is nought,
no one needs to know
soul’s exaggerated feel
of experience
blocked by control
from everyday awareness.

How painful the memory
of spirit arms in lift
and love’s acute outflow
intermingling and entwining
as a protective shield
but no one needs to know
the burdens of a soul.

And the young pushing old
from rock to rock unknown
the waterfall and freefall,
the laughter “now no more”,
and hands on bodies touching …
but no one needs to know
how spirit love can grow.

Yet the old in me remembers
green and fertile meadows
now a battle field
dead to spirit needs …
but no one needs to know
how solid is the line
between this life and love
and I cry with the rain,
today I cry again!

We know . . . and with every line, we know all the more.  you write with honesty, and beauty.

The words hold so much meaning. Hugs

Thank you, Robert and Gentle S, for the read.  It's a very dark and dismal day here today.  I suppose it's just to make me know how much I can miss the sun.
