"I'm so pissed off,
I just want to choke someone out..."

A soldier speaks out.

The reality...

And this is the way
we continue to seek
a solution to world problems?

When will we have the guts
to spend as much time and money
to find a gentler way
to embrace one another
with understanding and equality,
when will we spend as much on Love
as we spend on weapons of destruction,
mass or small?

A soldier speaks out...
but the commanders
of the world
apparently
are not listening.

LOL, that quote is what the soldier said.
What I said can't be posted here. LOL
Thanks for the reply, Richard.

Yes Kacy, I agree, sometimes they don't seem to listen and if they do
they chose not to hear.
Hugs gal. I am so grateful you speak your mind and hit us in the solar plexus so often.

Kacy there is time and place for all things gentle or otherwise.  You have to write what your heart feels
and I for one am damn glad that you do!

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

Another soldier once lamented..

"I am a soldier, convinced that I am acting on behalf of soldiers. I believe that this war, upon which I entered as a war of defense and liberation, has now become a war of aggression and conquest...."

"I have seen and endured the sufferings of the troops, and I can no longer be a party to prolong these sufferings for ends which I believe to be evil and unjust."

"I am not protesting against the conduct of the war, but against the political errors and insincerities for which the fighting men are being sacrificed."

"On behalf of those who are suffering now I make this protest against the deception which is being practiced on them; also I believe that I may help to destroy the callous complacence with which the majority of those at home regard the continuance of agonies which they do not share....."

(Excerpts-A Soldier's Declaration
SIEGFRIED SASSOON-July 1917

In other words, said in a different time...same subject

""I'm so pissed off,
I just want to choke someone out..."

Good job, Kacy...

You continue to say the things that need saying.  Look out, windmills, here comes Kacy!!  Good job.  Ken

Thanks to each of you, for reading and commenting.
Ford? Thank you so much for your input! I must say, such thoughts are apparently timeless truths.

Kacy, I understand and get angry over the same thing.  Going to see a movie next week called, Indigo.  Have you heard of it?  Maybe, this next generation will get it right and help us get there, too.?   ....jo

Thanks, James.
Thanks, Jo. I'm not familiar with that title.
Yes, perhaps another generation will find ways we have overlooked?

good write...wonder if they'd listen if they were the ones in the deserts and jungles doin and being killed instead of sitting safely in their fancy leather chairs or well hid in caves and discos out of harms way...soldiers being just the pawns in thier game, supposedly beleiving ours is not to reason why ,ours is just to do and die.

Hey Ray, thanks for your reply.
Yep, what if each of the world's leaders had to don a uniform, go into battle, PHYSICALLY LEAD the troops, so to speak? I can't help but think they might find other solutions.
