An Eye Watches Even though you feel a message Wiped from a wall Or hidden An eye watches and a mind recalls And time achieves its aim Amongst the cries that are not forgotten Nor does the world forget For colour, race, creed, religion As when we do We play other games And revenge is also An eye for eye But revenge is mine seethed all Political Lords On a wall somewhere someone makes a sign Maybe it will takes centuries To know of that sign And more centuries To know of that language And more centuries To understand the words And more centuries To understand the thought But |

Thanks Nakedthoughts. I wrote in conjunction with what I felt was a banal poem in quality but it carried my thoughts of what some women are required to bear on a daily basis. I will post the other. Dave |
