Prayers, and then Something Else

I almost wrote
of a loss, a breaking
of my soul from the boy
I once knew…
who returned to my life

I almost wrote
of selfish, deep concern,
some loss I thought
I would know
for it has visited me before

But instead, I sat ~
didn’t kneel, didn’t
tear my hair,
but simply prayed
knowing all was 50/50

Either it would be, or it wouldn’t.

And then I did write,
because it was time,
and then I did tuck away
that moment of mine;
for I heard or felt
a touch of life
or spirit, or such…

or even, more…

which was relentless,
like the sea, to shore.

For too soon was I about to give
a soul to ghost, but He let live
this love of mine, this brother, dear…
his assails were not yet grimed
with the blackest hands of time.

It is so easy to give in, to let a hurting soul begin
to lift its life up to the source…
and yet in prayer, some times, recourse is
found in touch, a healing hand
but nothing, no nothing that we command…

‘tis a gift, a time of transference, true…
and I would ask that this come to you…

Rebecca, Whtdove, I’ve been too silent,
too long…
the words all scrambled, seeming so wrong…

but if a prayer were to reach you,
one that gave strength…

then I would ask others,
that, link, by link…
they add their own, to this little one…

for my tongue now unleashed,
has begun its own song.

Rebecca…all my love…
to a full and speedy recovery…

Karilea

The words that Sunshine brought today
Have reached to Texas town
And brought with them the sweetest prayer
And a truth I've, too, found.

For you, sweet Dove, I'll pray tonight
That Our Lord fills your appetite
And all your needs, He knows you have
In ways that only He knows best.
I pray you keep the mustard seed
I know grows deep inside
By hour, the seed grows stronger
Because you have kept your faith.
That seed will grow a tree, you know,
You've shown us all that here before.
So, Becky, I will pray for you
That your deepest wishes do come true.
Because I feel you trust God's plan
That He has you in His gentle hands

Sending love,
Jo

May I whisper words of hope
Because I'm not a praying gal
I'm sure she wouldn't mind at all
They come from heart my friend,
GET WELL

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Thank you, Everyone...
we have been praying for so many lately...

joining hands and adding my prayers.
I too know that prayer works...
especially when multiplied by
all of those who care.
