Daily you seek her
drink her inside
she writhes within you
caresses your pride
offers false comfort
you accept in a hurry
she plays on your lips
and drifts all your worries
she swirls 'round your head
and shadows your eyes
she's all that you see
'til the day that you die
she's nothing but poison
a quick, easy lay
knows nothing of virtue
and yet do you stay?
into your lungs and out
through your heart
deep in your bowell her
poison will dart
yet every day, you seek
her again
yes, she will be there
with death, her best friend

Oh, I'd love to send this to a friend of mine who is trying to quit. She's pregnant with her 5th child and has emphasyma.

even watching someone die a suffering death from lung cancer doesn't stop others close by
from continuing the habit

Somking. Well it takes away great people in hundreds everyday.
It is hell in mouths.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Thanks everyone for your inspiring comments and congrats on staying smoke free. You are to be commended indeed!

Corrine, I hope your friend realizes what harm this will do to her child. My mom smoked during her pregnancy and as a result my lungs were damaged.  Two of my children ended up with life threatening asthma from my defective lungs.  It's horrible to watch my children suffer from an act I neither did willingly nor approved of.  Maybe you can share this with her.

Thank you all again,
