It's Time (Don't Say It's Not) American soldiers fought for them (still fighting), gave of their youth, gave of their experience, gave of their strength, ability and determination. They sacrificed precious time that is lost from family and friends, they have suffered the trauma of war, some have lost their health, some have lost their lives. Now it's time for the citizens of Iraq to become more involved in the safety and the rebuilding of their country, to take on the responsibility, to take up arms, to continue the fight. Every Iraqi soldier that is trained and put into the field will allow one American soldier to return home to his family and friends. If necessary institute an Iraqi draft, would that be reasonable, would that be allright? American soldiers have fought well, they did their duty for their country and a service for the people of Iraq, now it's time to bring them back...... Don't say its not. JamesLee January17 2004 I wrote to President Bush about this right after the initial fighting was over, and I told him that the priority was to train the Iraq police and military to take responsibility for the security of their country...I know that this is being done, but it seems to be a slow pace, a low priority...I'm writing him again. |

I agree, but rushing out can be devastating. Do it with care. Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love |

Thank you MGROVES, Juju, iliana, Daniel and passing for the nice responses... Yes of course I am talking of a process... and it's time to make it a top priority... Sixty plus years after WWII and we still have troops in Germany and Japan and fifty plus years after the Korean war we still have troops in Korea...would it be possible for them to assume the security of their own nation without the use of American troops...and if not, why are such large numbers necessary...Is this good planning? |
