My lofted sails were filled by cresting dreams of you,
bobbing and weaving upon the foams and spray
of rising frothing waves...and still, the hunger
of my wavering and aching yearn left me empty
and in need of a quelling only you carry upon
the backs of pulling oars.

Sprightly they rise from the virgin depths and
dart into the lifting fingers of salt laden waters
before a soaring surge as silver sides glisten
and eyes dance merrily in capricious waves of changing
mood, as would the ocean’s gusts before the sailor’s
virgin storm.

And it was, beneath a passing,  glowing sky blanket
that the whisper of our winds touched lightly, letting
cotton swirls of kisses fall upon closed eyes until a
sail shifts the lee and larboard lies beneath a waning
moon, once more.

Your poetry becomes you, or you your poetry?  Either way, this was magnificent writing...the yearning and yet finding happiness in life...being thankful, the hope...especially liked this.....

And it was, beneath a passing,  glowing sky blanket
that the whisper of our winds touched lightly, letting
cotton swirls of kisses fall upon closed eyes until a
sail shifts the lee and larboard lies beneath a waning
moon, once more.

Barry - you are a sweet romantic who writes with a beautiful soul - I love losing my thoughts in the feel of your words -

Sailed once from Miami to the Bahamas - a magicl experience, especially at night whith the phospherescence upon the bow shimmering gold and the breeze stirring my hair - sigh

Beautiful dear Sir -

If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . .
