you are the one made from two

cool and lost
bright and bold
together they swirl
to bring hope and longing

you color my absence of true
with the desire of could be
and I wear you around the essense
of who I was, who I am and who I will become

I favor you, for you have always been with me
you have colored my disappointments with better tomorrows
and you have let me weep with cleansing tears

you represent the loss and hurt of a broken heart
yet comfort me with knowing the existance
of life and love

you are the one made from two

I can't hazard a guess...other than I think the color lacks blue.

Nice write though!

I am thinking green, for hope.

Thank you Ed! (the color represents longing to me as longing seems to be hurt but still hopeful.  Maybe I just think too much)

TD~ It's not a primary color.

Had me guessing... actually went back to read a few of your other poems to try and figure this one out... I liked this poem and I liked your poem "Do Over" by the way because there was a lot of color in that poem too... but, now that you've responded... the color "longing" gets my vote for sure. You have described longing very very well here for certain. -Bob

Ok. Tell me if I am wrong, but I am guessing the color of love?  Or did I just read more into this than what was there.  Sounds like a soft warm blue to me. Susan, this is absolutely lovely and thank you for rising to and above the challenge. Hugs gal.

LMAO@Raph...that is sick and I love it!

Thank you everyone.

The color is purple...blue and red...blue for the feeling of loss and hurt, red for hope and love..together to me, they represent longing...
