Leisurely they stalked the moon’s darkness
in pale light of peppered stars.  Lacing strings
of brilliance with cool, deft fingertips as icy comets
chased an invisible horizon.

It was there beneath the ebb that a kiss
lingered and hearts strummed melodiously to a tune
of fervent sighs.

It was there, beneath towering rocks that sand
trails traced a lover’s dance in wait the dawn’s chill
as a blanket fell on rising flesh.

And as eyes closed ever slowly against the twinkle
of a dipper’s drip, the owl cried...awaiting a rustle
amongst a solitary tree’s slender tendrils...that
a moonlight sonata might again be played....
before the eyes of howl bay a waxing  moon’s
plea...and a kiss awakes the dawn once more.

What I love so much about your poetry is I feel as if I am there - okay, then I love the beauty of the words and the feel of them upon my thoughts - yeah, okay, well I also think they're wonderfully romantic - I could go on - love this my friend - you are so very talented -

absolutely lovely Barry....poetically superb use of imagery to create your romantic intend... very well done poet sir.
