Standing In Silence...

Feelin’ useless,
Lied to and abused,
How can you say those things?-
That got me feelin’ so confused.
What did I ever do to you?
Please, I’d really like to know,
What made you run away?
Why did you suddenly have to go?
The pain is so intense now,
I can’t take it like before.
You hurt me with those words,
That kept me crawling back for more.
More and more of this torture,
My soul won’t rest until I have it.
And though my mind keeps saying no,
My heart won’t let me quit.
Because I know, once upon a time,
You used to care and love me.
While my heart is in two pieces,
I’ll make my final plea.

Forget the things in the past.
I know we can be one again,
I know we can make it last.”
