I have nothing to say No meaning to express with gusty words Layered in a haze of wintry snow A chalkboard waiting for someone to write on Tense and full of imagery and art I'm a canvas sitting by a painter’s easel Frozen with excitement at the close distance That I am to greatness And the absolute torture of it all Is that greatness is inside me Yet there is no fountain No spring to let loose this passion That dwells within me Racing through my body like cars on a highway Dancing their exotic rhythm of life Like bees on a lazy summer day Going from flower to flower Swarming in the air like balls of light Waiting in silence With nothing to say People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid. --Soren Kierkegaard |
