Rain following like tedious arguments
Becomes a muttering funeral parlor
Rubbing its back against questions
Questions I have no answers for…

So I hang out in rooms where poets go
We speak of restless nights,
Lost presumes…adorations and kind
Licking corners of languid pools

High colors of Michelangelo
Spawning farther rooms
Ones I may never reach
Braiding the pale hair of time

Modestly rich the arms of voice
We fast in area codes
Despite kindred visions
In tea cups while rolling up and down hills
Squeezing me till humbleness flows
From all the worth, the progress

We have lined vacancies of the sea
With strength to force the moments
Where mermaids sing
White froth of their seaward waves
Lingering, like two novels saved

Should I have leaned out the window then?
Or slept peacefully?
Still lingering his scent...
I had seen some talk of you and me
Great flickers in silent seas

Felt, wept and collected rain
In a holy place, waiting and learning
Hurting and sharing hours with the sea
The sea…since childhood

The greatest marmalade of fear
Shares a magic lamp
One of ridicule tugging on my dress
Humankind reads Emily Dickinson

But from above such quiet eyes
Quote “Anything is possible”
I am rich in what might have beens
But for the glory of life’s automatic writing
Well preserved and never worn out
And so, the unanswerable question
Of foolishness and blind
Feels me looking in again
Asking God for roses
Don’t we all?
“Reporting for duty sir”, seems our demise
What errand must I run?
What indicates the rhyme?

Equipped with dawn and winter’s helm
I love dusk dew and this alone
Until perhaps the day
When love with naked reach
Splashing from malignant yawns
Against my breast
With twin passions
With filtered sea

A craft of one monotonous moment
Can be satisfied for a lifetime
When one goes outside
Listen, can you hear the sound of carpenters
In the words, asking for roses?
5 children graduate

I read the comics with enthusiasm
Waiting for another joint project
Thus, spending years writing of beauty
And exercises with formidable advisories
Galloping into the prophecy of time
Where hope floats, devoted to the guardian
Of feverish public actions
Looking to possess a small but inspirational income
A skillful Sea Captain
Who discovers me, promising no more Hollywood glamour
Then who he is…considering, where we’d both like to journey
Perhaps the Peace Corps, productive to our country…?

Oh but I beg to differ I think you just did.
