From head to heart moving
and they’re miles apart
two traffic lights coloured
and flashing stop/start.

One settled and staid
not wanting to change,
the other aggressive
in the quietest of ways.

One has short views,
the other enlarged
and extending beyond
the white line of life
but I turn a bright yellow
when caught in the middle
and stall, simply stall,
evolution of soul.

I can flutter around
testing the ground
and I’ve done that so long;
where do I belong?

Static and fixed
in analytical mode
with pros and cons listed
in my mental realms
or go with the flow
of a vulnerable heart?

Decisions!  Decisions!
But throw love in the hat
and it all comes together
just like that!

I’m still in the middle
reliant on each
and from yellow to orange,
fluorescent orange,
a total eclipse of me.

But I prefer blue
and that’s wonderful too
because head/heart together …
could you ever love me?

Dixie - I guess that would be the man I love.  Such is life.

the head and the heart tend to confuse each other alot dont they? as if they each speak separate languages.. the head can be misleading.. can the heart be?

Oh, a belated thank you to all for reading.  I must have been stuck in the middle of something somewhere or other.
