Snow Flowers

I study flowers grow in snow
What power makes their petals glow?
How can they live a freezing wake?
A cold that makes my body ache

I see them paint the mountain side
They rise above the snow in pride
Challenging the sky of blue
With amber and a purple view

They lay a shroud below the mist
The promise of a life’s exist
Inspire me a mental sew
A thing that I would really know

What secret did they find in strife?
To build upon and make a life
And this without a brain of source
To navigate a faulty course

I study flowers grow in snow
How do they live I’d like to know?

Methinks perhaps they might be snowdrops?
Lovely morning read Sy!

Inspired poem Sy.  You've discovered beauty in a most extreme environment.  I enjoyed this.

Beause Mother Nature gives them furry boots
to wear upon their floral footsy roots.

little fragile flowers
i think not
laughing at the humans
shiver in their homes
watching at windows,
fearing the white stuff

Sy

I'd love to see them.  Adaptability is amazing in some things, as is resilience.  I loved your poem...and your heart too!

JM,
I think you should find some and ask a few questions. They might give you a few pointers on snow living. Hope all is well.

Good afternoon Sy ... it is snowing hard here in the mountains and I see no flowers but the ones in your heart. It is so cold and snowy up here I wonder how anything survives. Me thinks Mother Nature wraps everything in fleece in the fall!

Marti,
I've seen snow like that when I was stationed in Alaska. Thanks for the read.

They grow nourished by the same love that flows from your words as you embrace their beauty...the inner vision of your heart has the same kind of beauty that we see reflected in your words...Wonderful writing...

very well said, Sey! the snow flowers could really teach us a lesson in surviving in the midst of hardships...I really enjoyed your snow flowers...too bad i have never seen snow flowers, or even snow for that matter! (but for a while you made me see them)
