Just For Me

I'm writing this just for me
to find a place to live inside, peacefully
filling my words with all the warmth of my love
I hope you find something for yourself in my rhyme
but this is written just for me
for all the dreams that echo in my mind

I can write one for you
to help you find a place to live inside, peacefully
you can fill your heart with all the warmth of my love
I hope I can find something for myself in your eyes
but this one is just for me
I need it more than I ever realized

When the night is dark, the moon is blue
these words can see me through
without a hope, without you
I cradle my love within a verse
lifting the veils, lifting the curse
of everyday heartbreak
from golden daybreak to purple nightfall
I'll see me through it all
if I don't have you
I'll walk tall in poetry
I'll talk of all that I am in song

I'm writing this just for me
just for me

and I'm remembering how to love
just for you
just for you

There is a bite to your style, and I think this is my favorite so far.
