Forever In Your Heart

Walking pass the door,
she looks back one last time,
words seems to fail her,
even those of poetry and rhyme,

Its been so long,
since she has seen sunlight,
kissed the roses,
danced in the moonlight,

No more darkness,
no more rain,
only love without,
the pain,

Thoughts race,
memories taunt her,
good and bad,
will they haunt her?,

Its hard to decide,
a life changing decision,
one you must think out,
with perfect precision,

She has been restricted,
now she will be free,
so much awaits her,
never a missed opportunity,

Freedom is hers,
today she flies,
as she wipes the
warmed tears,
from her tired eyes,

Where will she go?
what will she do?
who will protect her?
who wil be true?

It's a wonderful world,
with a wide open space,
she walks out the door,
with a smile upon her face,

and scars across her heart.....

Yes, it is the way of life, and you have described it so well, with many emotions...as nature herself....

Soulfelt that can't help but touch the reader...her freedom will give her a strength that will lead her in the future with scars that will heal with time....Great writing filled with truth...

It is hard - to leave the known, even if it is less than satisfactory or even if it is painful, to step out into that great space of possibilities -

And it is hard to have to protect yourself if you are used to being cared for -

Felt this one and luck to her - may this new path bring her much to be joyful of
