Lost in thought

Even clashed against the black
of a frozen sky,
stars were still too dead
to bring her hope.

Her dreams had dimmed
to grey predictions,
and
teardrops failed;
never deep enough
to reach the empty
shadows in her heart.

I heard once
that she had cursed
her birth,
saying it was trivial...

and everything she loved
had gone away.

(The Holiday Blues came late for me this year so, err... excuse my self pity. I just needed to write it out.)

He was a man of sorrows
...I am a girl of tears.

Seems like I skipped through the blues this year,
but sure can appreciate their flinty glint
in others...

Dear GG, you conveyed your blues so powerfully in this piece.

I urge you to look into the mirror and tell yourself how beautiful and worthy you are!

Sending you much love and hugs.

I think you sell yourself short.... while I understand the blues...I also see more in your words and in you... than it seem you do..

I would hug you... but only if you wanted...

GG,

OUch.  If I was to paint your portrait, it would be totally different.  You are the girl of truth who likes a challenge, who likes to make things better, the girl who is compassionate to all...  You are quite beautiful, you know?

I haven't had the opportunity to be online as I'd like, but I'm sure glad I was able to stop in for about five minutes tonight so I could read and respond to this.
Take care, Sweetie Pie.  You know, you're very special to a lot of people here!

To say that you write beyond your years would not do justice to your talent.

You write beyond the concept of years.

Margherita,
I'm glad you think so... and the mirror is something I avoid. Thank you for your generous words.

Susan,
now, now... no tears! It's okay, we all have our times. Thank you for understanding, and I'm sorry that you do...

Cpat,
You're far, far too kind. And, yes, I do... Thank you, sir.

Enchantress,
Thank you...

Eric,
oh my... That's a compliment much too good for me to accept. There are many 17 year old's who write better than I... even 16 or 13 year olds. Thank you, but really, that's just too much! ...

Always, Alyssa
