Her Shadow Her shadow danced a silver moon Among the leaves the trees had strewn Naivety that left a trace Was woven in my minds embrace And silver flashed the fires whole The sight of Eden in her soul Beckoning my very core To step into her evermore I trembled at the silvers light To step across into the night For whimsy has a subtle lie To step across was do or die When whispers in the sighs of trees Stilled the rattle of my knees Stayed the courage of the plunge And I in madness made the lunge And ever since the silver moon Has whispered me a lovers tune. |
