fields of gold

You can’t deny it,
     the flow of energy
     charging us
     with bliss,
     spontaneous touch
     and absentmindedness.
You try to hide it,
     but the glow of you
     reveals
     the mutual attraction
     my presence always
     feels.
Another year now passes
     each of us alone.
Yet when we are together
it’s like we have a home.
Why can’t we move beyond this
      into that sacred shrine,
      take up permanent residence
      in mirrored love sublime?
Why can’t we change reality
  to fit our needs tonight?

I’d bend a thread of time for you,
Just tell me that you’re mine.
