It wasn't breast high amidst the corn On a couch like a summer's morn You aren’t lying straight That's your problem Gardening hurting you Those daffodils You stop planting them You just look at them Cos boss, I was just only rapping Them winds are moving the flowers so You think they'd ask Before they go And fall over So And the wind was moving them flowers like you asked What you want pillows for Bed's there You'll be sore Just take the afternoon off sir Them flowers be there tomorrow You can see the ducks today Squire be here Horse on bay All these flowers ever do Is flow in the wind Like I make my stew I stir it around All them colours Specially when we are making Them dollars For your words So go and have a nap Sir It's getting a bit breezy Round the cat, Sir I'll get dinner ready We're entertaining Mrs Easy And she's deep mining If not veining |

Reminds me of summer and mint julep tea, swatting away flies, while sitting in the cool shade of a willow tree. Good one DavePage. JL |

I think it is more be being a fool, writing nonsense for the fun of it and just letting it flow. It is a lousy poem but just a bit of fun. thanks Dave |
