Between the Lines

Today it seems, I've lost the heat,
although at first it rose
above the norm, awaking me
need throwing off the clothes.

Hours passed, the gas turned off
yet home still kept to warm.
But now I sit, a fire of wood,
beside the night's transform.

Another day, what can go wrong
decides to visit me.
Another night with empty thoughts
except for plumbers plea...

Tomorrow, yes tomorrow is
and will become in time.
Maybe then the "all" will stay
a ~smile~ for me to rhyme.

M

And always will be, fraught with change,
and decisions...

Ask not for whom the bell tolls--just be grateful the doorbell still works?
