Furtive touch of full moon .... with the tragedy in mind |

Furtive touch of full moon * Giant full moon I took in your splendour catching my breath in wonder. You were supposed to be hidden behind heavy black clouds. The rain had been King all day long. But just for the time of a sigh your pure white light shone ever so bright, pretending my attention. Your furtive touch made everything seem all right. You say ”look into my eyes and see the magic of life!” Your lover the ocean misbehaved, you know, falling out of rhythm obeying to an abrupt lurch of its darkest depths. You were out of control, your soft whispers of love were silenced by a sudden roar. Yet, your beauty is unaffected by death, I gaze at you in awe. At heaven’s gate tonight there are immense crowds of astonished souls waiting to be admitted to the Light. Tears are falling from the sky to merge with those cried by loved ones who survived. The world is in the grip of sadness tonight. Still, in the silence of this night I am under the spell of your charm. Speak softly and calmly now to the blue extension of the sea caress her surface with your glow, soothe Mother Earth into sleep let the vision of terror fade ban from all the shores the hungry tsunami waves. Full moon, you shine so bright tonight, so many tears glisten in your light. * Love, Margherita [This message has been edited by Margherita (12-28-2004 05:18 AM).] |

Ah, Margherita, a sad sigh with this beauty. Such suffering and fright. You and I have both written of the moon this evening. It is gorgeous though isn't it? Hugs, Chris ~The soul that can speak through the eyes can also kiss with a gaze~ Gustavo Adolfo Becquer |

Nature can be both beautiful and ugly at the same time, in different places....its laws must be obeyed, without questioning it by moral implication. ..We must remember it has no plan to make people inspired or miserable...it just is The moon and its beauty, and the wretchedness of the tsunami are one and the same, two sides of the same coin... This poem shows both sides, that is why it is very good... ____________ice/ford ><> |

Ah, the beauty of this heavenly moon and the touching words you have written. A bittersweet piece with praise to LaLuna and sorrow and tears for the tragedy of the tsunami. hugs, Marti A single sunbeam is enough to drive away many shadows. |

Dear one... your poem describes the awesomeness of nature in so many ways... and sometimes all we can do is wonder at its forces... and cry at its upheavals... |

You capture well the sense of eternal musings on the moon in synch with a punishing sea. (One of the master painters did a painting much like your picture. Monet perhaps? He named it Silver Bridge, I think.) You did a beautiful job, Margherita, it is always a pleasure to read you. Ken Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

~Margherita~ Such beauty contrasted with such tragedy in the heart of one so gifted to write as you has made a wonderful transition into some great poetry here my poet friend. The Graphic, the Words, the Emotion, the Beauty of the moon, the italicized lines and thoughts within the main body of the poem.... Beautiful! Beautiful! I had to read your poem several times just out of pure awe. Beautiful! -Bob |

this rekindles the need for prayer for many...including a request made for a son and daughter-in-law of past church members to our congregation. The parents have not heard yet how they were affected by the tsunami. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Thank you my friends. Nearly 60000 people passed on in just a few devastating moments ... paradise transformed into hell ... tears flow incessantly and still I can see the beauty of All there is ... we are more than flesh. Virginia, hopefully there will be good news! Love to all, Margherita |
