As I attempt this to write
With tears near flow from eyes
Trying to reach deep inside myself
Where much pain of desire abides

I wonder how many will accept it
Or if they will turn their hearts away
Waiting until of me they see happy
Until I am having a better day

Well, my friend, it may be some time
For you to see my happy smile
For there is much sadness within
As we together walk another mile

Yes, I still have the reality of
My true love who still loves me
And we both feel our love will be forever
And for all of eternity

For though, should our bodies be gone from earth
Our love for each other will still abide
This will never be taken away
Ever being in heart, living deep inside

Ethel, this near broke my heart. I know that you and Gary have an undying love, but I get the feeling from this poem that your sadness has more to do with the state of your health. I have a tremendous affection for you and I want you to be happy ~ and healthy. If it is not a health issue, then perhaps you are talking about circumstances that have been keeping you and Gary apart. Whatever is causing you such sadness, I will pray for it to "Be Gone!"

Never fear that your readers will turn away because you are not writing "happy" thoughts. You have quite a following of adoring fans who will always be there for you ~ no matter what frame of mind you are in. You are real ~ your writing is real ~ and no one can be "happy" all of the time. You are a poetess who has the need to express how you are truly feeling ~ the honest sharing of the real you and what is happening in your life. That is just the way you are ~ and I wouldn't change a hair on your pretty head.

Remember I am only an email away whenever you want to vent. I'm a good listener ~ and reader!
